As designed, the city would be home to 45,000 to 50,000 people and 1,500 businesses, primarily commercial and manufacturing facilities specialising in environmentally friendly products. In turn, more than 60,000 workers are expected to commute to the city daily.

What is the population of Masdar City?
Today (before 2020), there are more than 1,300 people living in the city, and that number is projected to triple by 2020 with the completion of new residential buildings. The working population at the City is also growing. It is home to around 4,000 workers.
