Predictions

Background

The situation in Libya is now advancing rapidly. The latest developments are that one of Gaddafi’s sons, Saif al-Islam, has reportedly been captured alive, while Gaddafi’s personal security team is said to have surrendered.

Rebel forces have apparently met no resistance so far as they advance through the suburbs of Tripoli, heading to the centre of the city. It’s still unclear where Muammar Gaddafi is, although he appeared on Libyan TV earlier today to deny that he had fled the country. The situation is extremely fluid and is changing constantly.

What is clear, however, is that Libyan rebel forces are close to taking complete control of Tripoli. The question of Gaddafi’s whereabouts remains a concern, as does the possibility that he could launch a fightback, but for now it seems that the rebels have the upper hand and could have control of Tripoli before dawn. Then the real hard work will begin, as they will have to start forming a government.

Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi died of wounds suffered in his capture near his hometown of Sirte on Thursday, a senior NTC military official said.

National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid Mlegta told Reuters earlier that Gaddafi was captured and wounded in both legs at dawn on Thursday as he tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked.

"He was also hit in his head," the official said. "There was a lot of firing against his group and he died."

There was no independent confirmation of his remarks.

What if, he flees the country, is captured alive, but then found dead?

And, at the same time, Elvis is there with him "singing about his blue swede shoes (sorry Henrik, i think i spelled the word wrong).
am quite sure, but i need to go back to grammar school, and they won't let me in..), which now Gaddafi has on?
The real question should be "who done it?" to collect the reward?

Mustafa Abdel Jalil, head of the Transitional National Council, he supported the offer by Libyan businessmen for a reward of two million Libyan dinars (£1m, $1.67m) to anyone handing over Col Gaddafi "dead or alive".

He also offered amnesty to "members of [Col Gaddafi's] close circle who kill him or capture him".

Fleeing seems to exclude getting caught. The option implies a successful flight.
