Winning option: The vote didn't happen. They still have to ask the Security Council first, wait for the veto of the US and then go before the general Assembly.

Background

"Palestinians are determined to go ahead with their UN membership bid as an Arab League follow-up committee endorsed a final draft of the request to be presented to the UN General Assembly, a top official said. Saeb Erakat brushed off as a public relations stunt Israeli attempts to lure the Palestinians back into peace talks based on the 1967 borders if they abandon the UN membership campaign." http://bit.ly/oZ28SL

"Full UN membership is an unrealistic expectation at this point. A single veto in the Security Council can prevent it from happening, and the Americans have already made it clear that this is precisely what they will do. [...]
The second option is an appeal to the General Assembly of 193 countries, where a simple majority is enough to achieve the status of an "observing non-member state." The Palestinians can already count on this majority. So far 122 countries have bilaterally recognized the state of Palestine, and according to Maliki there will ultimately be 140." http://bit.ly/nFPMRz

"The Israeli government is hoping that the economically and politically stronger members of the UN will side with Israel as approximately 140 UN members from "developing and Third World" countries, amongst others, are expected to vote in favour of Palestine." http://bit.ly/oofzbJ

Since the Caribbean states didn't publicly agree on a position it still seems to be somehow close:
""We hope for the vote of more than 150 countries for recognition of the state of Palestine on the 1967 borders with its capital in east Jerusalem as a full member at the United Nations," negotiator Saeb Erekat told AFP." http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jjLDjiXqoPfgs2PF04jC6WRUWlfw?docId=CNG.af132ca0e3a0fd2cd947182992220075.181

"Quoting a senior foreign ministry source, the paper said that only five countries had told Israel they would vote against the Palestinian bid: the United States, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
The ministry is expecting 130 to 140 of the 193 UN member countries to endorse Palestinian membership — a majority of more than two thirds." http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Israel+sees+huge+backing+Palestinians/5319354/story.html#ixzz1WLT1UACY
