Charlie Sheen has said that Two and a Half Men will fail without him. Men producer Chuck Lorre was retooling the show with a replacement for Sheen, who was fired in March, and more screen time for Jon Cryer.

In a letter to TMZ, Sheen called Lorre a "sad dilly fool" and an "A-hole â€¦ low rent, nut-less sociopath". "No-one cares about your feeble show without me," Sheen wrote.

Ashton Kutcher's debut on "Two and a Half Men" Monday drew a stunning 27.7 million viewers for CBS. It is a record for the show.
According to Reuters, the show also had 10.3 million viewers in the prized-by-advertisers 18-49 demographic. That's what a typical new episode of the sitcom drew in total audience, across all demograhics, last year.
