The 2011 Grand National (known as the John Smith's Grand National for sponsorship reasons) will be the 164th annual renewal of the world-famous Grand National class 1 horse race at Aintree Racecourse near Liverpool, England. The main race will be held at 4:15pm BST on 9 April 2011 and a maximum field of 40 runners will compete for prize money totalling a record Â£950,000.
