Background

Play dates are May 10 through May 13.
The lowest four round total shot last year was by winner K.J. Choi who fired a 13-under par total of 275. This is a par 72 course so four rounds sets par at 288. This has proven to be a somewhat average course for the pros. In 2011 there were 53/74 players under par at the end. They are playing at the TPC Sawgrass course in Florida.

Incidently this low 72 hole score is non-inclusive of playoff holes. Just the first 72 holes are counted to settle this question.

do we know what we're talking about or not! . . . . 275

I'm thinking 273. But with the wind & nerves, anything is possible.

The third round is underway and I see that Sergio Garcia has finished with a four-under 68. If this is the benchmark score of the day then it's looking like a 272 will take the championship. No one is posting way under par due to the winds.
