   UnknownOne2013 predicted later or never

They just stopped working on it recently. This doesn't mean Apple won't try again in a few years like most of their products. They will try again when the technology is more reliable and trusted. There have been to many reports of self-driving cars causing accidents etc. from other companies which would impact their product line.
