Background

Inspired by flasteph´s great Hurricane Market I had to create my own. In 2010 there were 3 cat 1, 4 cat 2, 1 cat 3 and 4 cat 4 hurricanes - Karl supplies the picture as the only cat 3 of 2010.

Karl September 14 – September 18 but Danielle August 21 – August 30 would have been enough to settle.

The market asks for the first hurricane category 3 and above. There are Markets for 2+ and 4+ categories, too.

From wikipedia:
'Decrease in wind shear from July to August produces a significant increase of tropical activity.[23] An average of 2.8 tropical storms develop annually in August. On average, four named systems and one hurricane occur by August 30, and by September 4, the Atlantic ocean has spawned its first major hurricane.[6]'

I want everybody to know I'm still scared even though it's veered to the east. A little more west & I've got pieces of roof, etc. all over again.

OK now that Irene has reached Cat. 2, it"s time for Cat. 3.

Bye, Bye Emily.

Be aware: I just edited the last option to include no cat 3+ this year. You now have 3 Month left to use that option.
There was a marginal gap - follow the discussion for Cat 4. here: What name will the first Hurricane category 4 and above have of the 2011 season?
